This Red Rhino lower unit rebuild kit provides the major internal components needed to rebuild compatible Mercury and Mariner V6 2.0L, 2.4L and 2.5L outboard gearcases from 1986-2015. The correct components are supplied based on the year and gear ratio selected when ordering.

Gear Set
- 2:1 Gear Ratio, 135-150 HP, 1998 & Up — ME-626 Gear Set — replaces 43-803612T2 and 43-828177A1.
- 1.87:1 Gear Ratio, 150-200 HP, 1986-1997 — ME-628 Gear Set — replaces 43-44104A2. Uses R-205149 Large Outer Forward Gear Bearing.
- 1.87:1 Gear Ratio, 150-200 HP, 1998 & Up — ME-630 Gear Set — replaces 43-828175A and 43-878613A2. Uses R-25580 Small Outer Forward Gear Bearing.
Clutch Dog
- 1986-1997 — MM-853 Ratcheting Clutch Dog — replaces 52-853594T.
- 1998-2005 — ME-340 Non-Ratcheting Clutch Dog — replaces 52-859340T.
Additional Components Included
- Pinion nut — replaces 11-35921.
- ME-618 Water Pump Kit — replaces 46-96148T8.
- ME-627 Gearcase Seal Kit — replaces 26-89238A2.
- Shim kit — driveshaft and forward gear, where applicable.
- ME-852 Gearcase Bearing Kit.
- Correct outer forward gear bearing based on year and application.
