This New Outboard Extension Kit by Bay Manufacturing is specifically designed to convert select Yamaha and Mercury (Yamaha Powerhead) outboard motors by adding 5 inches to the midsection.
This heavy-duty kit is compatible with Yamaha 225–300 HP (2009 & Older) and F250/F300 3.3L models, as well as Mercury 225 HP EFI models featuring a Yamaha powerhead (Serial OT & Up). Manufactured with quality in mind, the spacer housings are cast from the same series alloy as the original motors, and the kit includes durable stainless steel shafts and studs for lifetime performance.
Technical Note: On some models, it is sometimes necessary to ream out the driveshaft passageway with a 1-1/8” hole saw to create sufficient clearance for the female end of the stub driveshaft.
